Needin to get it together!

So I realized that all my posts since the baby were born were all pretty much the same just updated pictures so I haven't blogged because I didn't even want to read the same thing again. So here is a new topic that I have been strugglin with. Why in the world can I not get my weight loss together. I am miserable with all this extra baby weight on yet for some reason I can't seem to get my crap together. I go to the gym once, maybe twice a week, if that. Come on people, we all know that's just not going to cut it!! I can't find the time. I try to figure a time that I can take the baby with me but it seems like there is always something else that takes over my master plan. Then lets get into the food bit of the skinny plan. Being fat makes you want fat people food!! It's a horrible cycle. I have done it before with no problems. Lost weight like it was nobodys business but this time when it really would help my self esteem it's like I can't pull it together. UGH!!! It's so frustrating!! I just want to feel like me again!! To end this post I'll leave you with a smiley face. Here is my beautiful girl!

So every day I am amazed at how much I love my little girl. I always wanted babies but I didn't know you could love this much. Well folks, you can!! I seriously cry sometimes when I look at her because I can't believe she is mine and I just feel like I am going to burst with love for her. She is the best baby in the whole world. So happy all the time and just melts your heart with her smile and her eyes. I love my Keeley girl!!

Just a few things....

span>r>

To begin with I love being a mom. I adore my little girl like noones business. As of this point, I don't think there is a single moment I have regreted having her join my life. To me, and Dean for that matter, she is the most beautiful baby that ever was brought into this world. I am however in the process of trying to get her into her own bed at night. She is 3 months old and as of thus far has slept with Dean and I every night. I've loved it but I know it's important for her to sleep in her own place. Any suggestions on the transition are welcomed:) Dean and I bought our first house yesterday!!! YEAH!! We are both super excited and although it's just a townhome it will be perfect for us for a long time. Now on to the life lesson that Heavenly Father seems on insisting to teach me. Dean and I when we first got married rented a townhome that was in a ward I thought I would love. Well let's just say I didn't. It was a really hard year for me church wise and I started to not want to go. Well, we moved in with his folks and their ward has been amazing!!! Within the first week the relief society was here to greet us and the countless welcomes for Dean in the Elders quarom were there too. It was such a different experience. While we have been looking for a house I have purposely been looking outside of what I thought our old ward boundaries areas were. Our townhome is on the south side of the 215 so I thought, great, we're safe! I was wrong!!! We are back in that same ward that I disliked so much and it's in a home that we purchased to live in for several years. I was really upset at first when I found out the reality but like I said, Heavenly Father is teaching me something here. Dean and I are both really going to try hard to go in with a better attitude and hopefully, with some persistance of course, I will come out with maybe not a love for the ward but for a renewed love of the gospel. The ward would just be an added bonus! Well here are a few pics just to share. Self portraits of course so don't laugh :)

So my baby girl is getting so big. Dean blessed the baby this weekend. He did a wonderful job. What a good daddy he is turning out to be. My mom made her blessing clothes, which were beautiful, and most of our family got to be here to share in our special day. I posted the family pictures just so everyone could see my cute little family but be aware that I still need to lose the baby weight. I'm workin on it folks! Miss Keeley also had her first swim with daddy. She loved the water and if I do say so myself I don't think it gets much cuter then this little girl in her swimmin suit. :)

Thank you Megan Lee!!!

I am so blessed in my life to have great friends and to have grown up with some amazing individuals that I still keep in contact with today. One of those individuals is Megan Lee, used to be Megan White. A while before the baby was born she contacted me and asked if she could take pictures during the birth of the baby. As most of you know I am not a private person and so of course I said go right ahead. She is trying to get a business started doing this so I was the trial run. I was excited, hesitant, and all of those things that can run through your mind when you think of fat pictures and your private parts being displayed in photographs but I just have to say THANK YOU Megan from the bottom of my heart. As I sit here and watch the slide show of pictures, no words, just beautiful pictures of my amazing babies birth I couldn't help but just cry. You caught so many precious moments that you miss through your exhaustion and your overwhelming emotions of everything that is going on around you. I must tell all that there was not one gross picture or fat picture just beautiful photos tracking the time, the looks on my families faces, my husbands face, and the firsts of my babies introduction to this world. What a beautiful keepsake and one that I will charish forever. Thank you again Megan and if any of you are having a baby any time soon, please concider doing something like this. You won't regret it and the exprience of rewatching that special time is priceless!

A few pictures

As all of you mothers out there know there are no new posts in the last little while due to the adjusting that must happen in your life when a new baby comes on board, especially your first. There is a whole new type of tired, busy, and especially a whole new love that you learn about. I really didn't think it was possible to love another being as much as I love my little girl. When they give her shots at the doctor if I could take that pain from her rather then see those tears stream down her little face I would do it in a heartbeat. Keeley and I love being home just hanging out together. She is growing so fast. I can't believe just 4 weeks ago she was only 7 pounds now she is 9 pounds 4 ounces. I guess that breast milk really does fatten em up real quick. It's a good thing it is doing something because she won't latch on so I pump every 4 hours just to feed my babe the good stuff. It is a LOT of extra work but I am hanging in there and I will do it as long as I can. As for Dean, he is working a ton. He leaves early in the morning and comes home late in the evening. He's making good money for us this summer though which works out beautifully for our buy a house plan which is still in the works. I hope we find something soon. Our little family is bursting at the seems here in the in-laws house. It will be so nice to have a place to call our own. Well that's about it for the McLeod's. Not too much is exciting but just wanted to throw down an update for ya'll.

Miss Keeley Paige McLeod is Here!

I had our little princess on Wednesday morning. Her birthday is May 13, 2009. She was born at 1:11 pm. She is a GREAT baby and the new love or mine and her daddies life. Her arrival here in this world was a bit crazy but totally worth it. I've waited a long time for this little girl. I love being a mom and can't think of any other thing in this world that is more precious.

Gettin to that point!

So we're getting to that point in this whole baby brewing bit where people are starting to make the comments of, "HOLY CRAP", and "Wow, there is no way that you are going to go another 7 weeks." These comments I'm sure in any pregnant girls mind mean, "Holy moly you giant hefer, you sure are getting huge." What comforting words from the people around us when we already feel so lovely about ourselves. Thank you world!

Hospital Tour Anyone!

So with this baby has come extreme worry. I worry about don't eat sprouts, dont eat raw fish, be careful because they say if you eat too many lunchmeats its bad. I stress out about pretty much everything. Well with that being said I am doing my tours of local hospitals to see which one I like the best to deliver my sweet little girl at. The new hospital Centennial Hills I had heard great things about so I made my appointment and went and did the deed! The group gathered, we all headed towards the elevator, two groups of folks go up, we get in with the tour guide to go on up ourselves, and low and behold the door shuts, the lights flash and we go NOWHERE! Yes folks, that's right. I got stuck in an elevator, at a hospital with 5 pregnant woman, 4 husbands, 2 kids, another husband and wife and their 5 week old baby, and a heavy set tour guide for 45 minutes!! Oh my gosh was it hot and crammed. You would think at a hospital they would have an emergency maintenance guy that could let you out but nope! The trusty fire department had to come set us free. With that being said, does anyone know why fireman are so stinkin hot! Man they are pretty to walk out and see when you've been stuck in an elevator for 45 minutes. I decided that this is just my luck. Just had to share. It's not every day you get this unique experience at a new hospital. Leave it to me!

Pregnant Me!

So my mother-in-law handed me a disk today with a few pictures on it from some family outings we've had. I'm sure glad she takes pictures because I've been horrible at it lately. Well all have asked for prego pictures of me, so here are a couple. May look like a fat roll ladies and gents, and it's probably a mixture, but most of that is a baby. And growing bigger all the time! WOW! I think I'm starting to get to the uncomfortable stage and I've got 12 weeks left. :) Oh and I totally should have cropped out my legs out of Dean and I's picture. I mean seriously, GROSS!!

A new post!

I know I need to make a new post but I can't seem to figure out what is exciting or even interesting in the McLeod household these days so I am just going to post just a few things that I am grateful for.
Dean!
Oh where to begin with this one. I love my husband for the way that he makes me laugh. For how close we've come in this first year of marriage. How he truly has become my best friend and even though sometimes he doesn't get me, he always bears with me. For his constant effort to become better for us. It's tough to get married when you're older and set in your ways but we've come a long way together so far and will continue to make it down this road. He loves me unconditionally. I don't wonder if Dean loves me at all, I know without a doubt that he does and what a comfort that is.
Our Baby!
I am so grateful for this little girl that in the beginning made me so sick, that makes me out of breath when I walk up stairs, that makes me feel like I am the good year blimp, that makes my feet at times look like I have elephantitis. It makes me so excited every time I feel her move in my belly or think of the first time I will get to hold her or even the thought of Dean holding her for the first time makes me exstatic. It's amazing how much I love this little girl and she is not even here yet.
My Parents!
My parents are amazing! I seriously could not ask for anything more. They love me to death and yet once again in my life I do not have to even question the love. My mom is amazing and would do anything for my little family. My dad, well, as most of you know I call him for those times when I just don't know where else to go. I know he will always walk me through the next step. Many a breakdown from me for my parents, but many solutions and guidence have come for me from them when it happens and it just helps me feel peace.
My In-Laws!
How grateful I am to have married into such a good family. My in-laws are such great people and have opened up their home to Dean and I for a while so we can get on track before our baby comes. They try so hard to make it feel like home for me and I am forever grateful.
My sisters!
Wow, this is a long post for nothing to say! :) I love all three of my sisters so much. Each one is different and unique from the other. I am close with all of them and I know that we will always be that way. I love their kids to death and I am so thankful that each one of my sisters has shared those babies with me for all these years. It made being single for so long so much easier because I had my family so close by my side.
The Gospel!
Last thing I'm gonna put on here is the gospel. It's my support, my link to my Heavenly Father. Seriously sometimes it's so hard, especially now in life to see the light at the end of the tunnel for so many of us. For me, the gospel is that light. I know that if I have faith, which might I add is easier said then done, it will all work out the way it is supposed to. How blessed I am to know of the truth and to have the direction that the gospel provides me with.

So my Dr did me a little favor!

I'm pretty pursuasive and when I went in to the doctor last week I gave my doc a hard time about not getting my ultasound. Well he did a little quick one himself and there is no question we're havin a girl. Her name will be Keeley Paige McLeod and we are super excited. My mom, being the amazing mother that she is, already has her baby blanket made for her bedding. It is SO me! Here is a picture so you can all be jealous. The picture doesn't even do it justice. It's beautiful! Thanks mom. Love you!

I can't believe it!!

So we had a 17 week ultrasound at the doctor and the doctor said that he was 90% sure it was a girl but on our 20 week visit we'd be able to tell for sure because the visit will be with the real ultrasound tech. So i've counted down the days til the 15th to find out if this baby inside me is really my baby girl. Well the visit WAS tomorrow but the doctors office called tonight at 5:30 pm saying they were going to have to cancel and reschedule for the 26th!! WHAT!!! 2 more weeks!! Do they know that you shouldn't do this kind of thing to a pregnant girl. I have been WAITING you big rude jerks at the doctors office!! Disappointment has set in.
